Bond Information

Property Bond:

To obtain a property the first thing the Sheriff's Office needs is a current Property Assessment sheet from the Autauga County Revenue Office.  Your land value (excluding structures) will need to be the amount of the bond or higher.  All persons listed on the property will need to sign the bond before it can be issued.  If there is a person on the property that is deceased, a death certificate must be presented at the time the bond is made.

Once property bond is issued, the property owner has 3 days to pay a $35.00 fee to the Autauga County Circuit Clerk's Office.  We suggest you pay it the day the bond is issued.  The property on which the bond was issued will be held until the final disposition of the court case.

Property Bonds are issued by the Administrative Office Monday - Friday from 8:00 am- 4:30 pm (excluding holidays)

Cash Bond:

All cash bonds are handled in the Autauga County Circuit Clerks Office.  To obtain a cash bond you will need to bring the total bond amount in cash, along with a $35.00 bond fee to the Clerks Office.  Once bond payment has been made the bond information will be taken to the Autauga Metro Jail for the listed inmate to be released, and you will be given a receipt for the bond payment.  The receipt is required if a bond refund is due as part of the final disposition of the court case.

Cash Bonds are issued by the Circuit Clerk's Office Monday - Friday from 7:30 am - 4:30pm (excluding holidays)
