Autauga County, AL – The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Nicky Terrell Gaines. Mr. Gaines is wanted for an overnight burglary that occurred in the Pine Level Community.

Around 7:30pm on Feb 13, 2017, the vehicle Gaines was driving was stopped by an Autauga County Sheriff’s Office Deputy due to a suspicious vehicle call in the area of the 1800 block of Hwy 31 N. Gaines resisted arrest and fled into a wooded area near Interstate 65. Sheriff’s Deputies were able to apprehend two of Gaines’ accomplices on Hwy 31N.
During the manhunt, Gaines forcibly burglarized a second residence in the Pine Level Community. Upon the return of the homeowner around 10 pm, Gaines exited the residence and chased the victim to their vehicle, where he attempted to make entry. When the victim called 911, Gaines fled back into the woods near the victim’s home. Gaines has a violent criminal history and should be considered to be Armed and Dangerous.
Mr. Gaines is described as being a Black Male 41 years of age standing 5 ’9” tall and weighing 210 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Any contact with this subject, please contact Sgt.
