Additional Charges Filed in Sexual Abuse Case

Prattville, AL - 2/22/2022

The Autauga County Sheriff's Office has filed additional Sex Abuse charges against Byron Mitchell Anderson. Anderson; 43 year old white male; was arrested and charged with Sodomy 1st Degree and Sex Abuse of a Child Less Than 12 Years Old in December 2021. During the ongoing investigation another victim came forward with abuse allegations. After the child was interviewed by Butterfly Bridge Children's Advocacy Center, additional charges were filed. On February 18, 2022 Autauga County Sheriff's Office Investigators arrested and charged Byron Mitchell Anderson with Ten (10) additional counts of Sodomy 1st Degree and Two (2) additional counts of Sex Abuse of a Child Less Than 12 Years Old. Anderson is currently housed in the Autauga Metro Jail under a $606,000 bond.
