Shooting in Autaugaville Leaves One Dead and Three Injured

 

The Autauga County Sheriff's Office was dispatched around 9pm, Saturday March 12, 2022, to a call for shots fired in the 200 block of North Pickett Street in Autaugaville, AL.  When sheriff deputies arrived on scene they discovered that multiple shots were fired in the area and deputies located four victims.  One victim sustained life threating injuries and three others sustained non-life threating injuries.  Life Flight was called and transported the victim with life threating injuries to the hospital.  The three victims with non-life threating injuries were treated and released from local area hospitals.   Autauga County Sheriff's Office Investigators were notified on Sunday March 13, 2022, that victim Cameron Jakyle Motley, 22, did not survive his life threating injures.

Investigators are combing through evidence and witness statements to piece together the events of this crime.  Charges are forthcoming pending further investigation.
